There are references to gender equality, poverty, health and much more in the images. These are used once every few weeks as a starter or morning meeting discussion in my class. I also supplement this with local news or latest stories where we can discuss what we see and what makes us think. The maths here is not in depth, though you can go into detail with the statistics. It is more a tool to help comprehend the world around us. How does maths allow us to see that? What role does maths have in identifying and sharing issues around social justice?
