This is a UK based teacher who encourages his students to think deeply in his lessons. His website (linked below) has a number of different starting ideas, but the encouragement here is to ask ‘what if?’ and change the parameters as you build on the same problem. For example, you might start with one problem and end up by the end of the week on something totally different, based on how the class branch out and explore possibilities.
