Each activity links to recent news, sometimes sport, sometimes natural events. An opportunity to link maths to a wider context whilst having conversations about events outside the classroom.
This week the UK saw another panic buying episode, as a story went out about not having enough HGV drivers, which led to a mass of drivers rushing to fill up their half empty tanks and then stories escalated about how everything was running out.
