Welcome to a new project I am working on ‘Maths of the Moment’- as part of the mathsbtc.com website.
Each activity links to recent news, sometimes sport, sometimes natural events. An opportunity to link maths to a wider context whilst having conversations about events outside the classroom.
This activity is inspired by the amazing Emma Raducanu and her wonderful run to the US Open championship. This history making Brit inspired lots of fascinating statistics, not least that she is the first qualifier to ever win a major tournament (in the Open Era).
